Hello,

I am Gary D. Zeigler, your Stark County Treasurer. I have lived in Stark County all my life and reside in Plain Township with my wife, Teresa, of 28 years. We have three sons, Michael, 27, Gary Jr., 20 and Anthony, 18.

I graduated from Alliance High School and attended Malone College for Real Estate Classes and IBM school for computer training. I am a member of the Alliance Democratic Club, Stark County Democratic Executive Committee, Dante Club, Elks, Moose, Alliance Christopher Columbus, Plain Township Rotary Club and Ex Newsboys. I am a supporter of Stark Public Special Olympics, Holly Hills Challengers Program, Buckeye State Sheriff's Association and board member of "The Bear Hug" Committee.

As your Stark County Treasurer, I am working very hard for you by investing your tax dollars wisely. I have completed my continuing education classes that are required by the State of Ohio as defined in (SB81) and have also taken advanced investment portfolio education that was not required by the state to further my advancement of investing public funds. I have implemented new programs for collecting delinquent taxes, such as having a new web site (starktaxes.com) which has collected thousands of dollars for your schools from delinquent tax payers, and provides valuable information for you. We are open on the last Saturday of tax collection and you may now pay your taxes at several local banks. Also, we are working very hard to help the senior citizens with our Prepayment Program and trying to have the Homestead Exemption raised through legislation with the help of State Representative William Healy.
